In today’s real wedding segment, we share details from S & D’s duo Hindu-Sikh wedding ceremonies, a large South Asian affair. The multi-celebration took place in August 2016 and P.S. Eventful provided Month/Day-of Coordination Services for three key events: the sangeet, the duo-ceremonies, and the reception.
About The Ceremony
The bride’s parent’s backyard transformed into the wedding ceremony grounds. One large ceremony tent accompanied by nine other tents (food stations, dining space) welcomed approximately 550 guests. The day was filled with Hindu and Sikh traditions including the baraat, milni, and doli.

About The Reception
1000 guests attended the couple’s reception at Pearson Convention Centre in Mississauga. Beautiful blue and gold décor complimenting the bride and groom’s attire brought elegance to the banquet hall. Highlights included a customized dance floor, a string quartet, a martini bar, a fun photobooth, and customized glow sticks. Guests were thoroughly entertained by an interactive, professional emcee and three dance performances.

Reception Details
Blue and gold with hints of pink created a beautiful ambiance.

Formal photos
Ceremony photos took place at Humber Arboretum and stunning engagement shots happened in Niagara on the Lake.

About The Sangeet
500 guests attended the sangeet celebration for S&D at Chadni Gateway.

P.S. Eventful’s Planning
P.S. Eventful provided Month/Day of Wedding Coordination for S&D for three events (sangeet, duo ceremonies and reception). During the wedding month, we created a wedding itinerary for each of the events and confirmed details with all vendors. On the sangeet day, we assisted with photos, cued entrances, managed vendors, and coordinated gift giving. On the ceremony day, we began set up at 6am, ensured all items were in place, cued entrances, double checked on food, and most importantly transitioned the space from a Hindu ceremony to a Sikh ceremony within an hour. And finally, on the reception day, we ensured the entirely evening for 1000 guests was running on time, cued the program and entrances, and managed each vendor.
Review from the Couple:
“Poonam and her team did an amazing job for our wedding this summer. We had 3 very big events and she was able to handle anything and everything! It started with our 550+ guest engagement party which ran smoothly and everything went as planned. Our ceremony followed the week after which was our most hectic event being outdoors at our own house, including 600 guests, 12 tents, numerous caterers and vendors and on top of all of that two wedding ceremonies! Poonam and her team handled the entire venue with no problem whatsoever, the itinerary went as planned and on schedule. She came by the night before to go over all the details one last time and was on top of everything at 6am from putting signs in the ground to welcoming our guests! Our reception followed which included 1000 guests and of course that was a wonderful night! We can’t say enough good things about Poonam and her team everything was organized exactly how we liked it, we as well as our entire families were able to enjoy all of our events worry free knowing everything was taken care of. Poonam and her team were professional, courteous, on top of everything and most importantly reassuring at all times. She made sure to keep us updated and continuously check in with us during all of our events. We loved working with PS Eventful!”
