In today’s Real Wedding segment, we shared details from S&L’s wedding where P.S. Eventful was thrilled to be the Day of Wedding Coordinator! The wedding took place on December 13, 2014, better known 12/13/14. This date was a popular day for weddings since it was the last number-sequential date until January 2, 2034. *Insert hashtag 121314wedding here* Over 190 guests gathered for this winter wedding on a fortunately mild Toronto December day at Arcadian Loft.

About The Ceremony
A home-made chuppah (by the groom!) adorned by floral, theatre-style seating, and a brick wall backdrop set the scene for S&L’s Jewish wedding ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle lined up with cylinder vases (with lit pillar candles) and sprinkles of white rose petals.

About The Reception
Mis-matched floral centrepieces on square tables and large windows overlooking Toronto’s Old City Hall set the vibe during the decadent three-course meal guests enjoyed at S&L’s wedding reception. The dancing kicked off with the Horah and the band kept guests on their feet all night.

Special Touches
-S&L’s sweet table and receiving table décor included home-made marquee letters (by the bride…this was clearly one creative couple!).
-The bride brought a piece of Vancouver (her hometown) to the wedding as the escort cards were guest names written on rocks.
-Buckets of flip flops on the dance floor…always appreciated by those in heels and a great way for guests to have no excuse to dance!

P.S. Eventful’s Planning
Our Day of Coordination package includes two meetings + rehearsal attendance during the month of your wedding. Since S&L opted for no wedding rehearsal (perfectly okay as there was no bridal party), we offered them three meetings in lieu of the rehearsal. Our meetings included creating the detailed wedding day schedule, a walk-through at the venue, and reviewing all DIY creations. We were there to provide the couple with suggestions, such as best location for musicians during the ceremony and flow of speeches during the reception.

On the wedding day, we worked together with all vendors to ensure all aspects went as planned (guided by the 10 page itinerary we created!). It would be a very lengthy post to list all of the ways P.S. Eventful was able to help, but a snippet includes coordinating the First Look, cueing the Bedeken/ceremony/reception, and setting up sweet table.

The wedding was beautiful and smooth-sailing due to the extraordinary team of vendors and excellent planning by the couple. Thank you S&L for having P.S. Eventful a part of your wedding day!

Review from the Couple:
“Poonam (from P.S. Eventful) was amazing. She was punctual, professional, fun and really helped make my wedding an amazing occasion for my husband, myself and all my guests. My husband and I had a traditional Jewish wedding and Poonam brought all the big and little details together on the day of. We had 3 planning meetings before the wedding and she listened to all my ideas, gave her own input (that was amazing) and she totally understood my vision and what I was looking for. Sure enough, every little detail we had discussed was executed perfectly with with Poonam in charge on the day of my wedding. Furthermore, I had piece of mind, was able to relax and enjoy the entire day. She pulled everything off flawlessly. I have recommended her to many people and can’t say enough good things about her.”
